Hello and may I be the first to welcome you to my blog that is all about bass fishing. There are tons of types of fishing that can be done out there, such as saltwater fishing and also fishing for trout, which I do not mind catching at all, but the fun, and the challenge has to be with the bass. I have been bass fishing for over 10 years, and I must say that I am far from professional, but with that being said I am still pretty damn good in my opinion.
I have bass fished all over the United States, and for the most part I am a country boy from the Tifton Georgia, another place where I have done a considerable amount of bass fishing in my time at the old lake. The one thing that I love about this sport, is that you never know what you are going to get. It is not like saltwater fishing when you hit the grouper or snapper hole and you are pulling up fish left and right, it is a lot more challenging then that, and if you watch any of those bass fishing shows in ESPN then you will know that even they have problems getting the bass in the boat sometimes. Bass fishing to me is an escape away from everything, especially stress.
All the stress at the office while working disappears when I am out there on the lake casting away, maybe a hundred or more times until I get that strike from a largemouth or a smallmouth, they both put up one hell of a fight and have the potential to make for a nice trophy, a nice picture, or maybe even being able to mount it on the wall. Yes, I have about 4 bass that I have kept and mounted on my wall, it cost me an arm and a leg to have them done but now I get to see those monster trophy bass every single day that I walk into my living room.
In this blog I will be going over several bass fishing tips and techniques that I hope will help you catch more bass. And remember bass fishing is not for everyone, but if you have the ability to become a pro bass fisherman, then you will make a lot of money. You should see that in some of these bass fishing tournaments that the 1st prize will be thousands of dollars, some of them even make it up to the 100,000 dollar mark, which is just amazing. I know that I will never be good enough to be pro no matter how many books I read, or no matter how many television shows I watch, but what I do no is that I am better than the average angler and there is nothing more in this world that I enjoy more than bass fishing.
